About Us

The South African Abalone Export Council is a voluntary, non-profit company, that was established in 2006. We are the recognised and endorsed representative export council for the sector. The council is uniquely positioned to assist and facilitate international business opportunities, export growth and promoting member brands.

The South African abalone export council intends to be a recognized council in the global abalone sector and a leader within the South African aquaculture industry.

The council’s mandate is to expand opportunities both within existing and new markets, to diversify abalone product offerings and most importantly maintaining South Africa’s position in the global abalone sector. The council continues to provide credible industry and market information; execute well-defined consumer and export development activities and provides industry support.
