Steamed Abalone Honey

Steamed Abalone with Honey and Orange Glaze



1 medium abalone

1 tbsp honey

3-4 tbsp orange juice

Thinly sliced capsicum (red)

Hand full of enoki mushrooms

Hand full of baby spinach

3 mandarin segments (sliced in half)




Add honey and orange juice to a pan, gently stirring it occasionally until sauce has thickened. (Big bubbles will form)

Remove from pan and pour out into a bowl



Score abalone in two directions

Steam in steam basket for 3 minutes and remove

Steam vegetables for 5 minutes and remove

Glaze the abalone and place in pan score side down with heated oil until caramelized

Plate up and it’s ready to enjoy.
